Healthcare is becoming unaffordable for too many Kansas families. Rising premiums, higher deductibles, expensive prescriptions, and fewer healthcare options are forcing people to delay care or go without it altogether.

My Priorities

• Expand Medicaid and protect healthcare funding.

• Reduce the transfer of healthcare costs onto working families from federal funding cuts.

• Protect hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and community healthcare providers so Kansans can get care close to home.

Every Kansan deserves access to affordable, high-quality healthcare, regardless of where they live.

Johnson County's public schools are one of the biggest reasons families choose to live here. Strong schools strengthen neighborhoods, prepare our future workforce, and help Kansas remain competitive.

• Oppose efforts to divert taxpayer dollars from public schools.

• Support teachers and ensure schools have the resources students need to succeed.

Kansas families deserve meaningful property tax relief. Rising home values and years of tax policy decisions have left many homeowners paying more each year while the cost of everyday living continues to increase.

My Priorities

• Reduce the property tax burden on homeowners.

• Protect seniors and disabled veterans from being priced out of their homes.

• Pursue fair, sustainable tax reforms while protecting schools and essential local services.

Home ownership should build financial security, not create financial hardship.

Kansas families shouldn't have to compete with billion-dollar corporations for our water, energy, or tax dollars.

With more than 60 proposed data center projects under consideration across Kansas and several in Johnson County, I support a temporary moratorium on new approvals until the state establishes clear standards and safeguards. The potential long-term impacts on our water supply, electric grid, taxpayers, and local communities are simply too significant to ignore.

Communities should never be forced to negotiate with billion-dollar corporations without the tools, information, and protections they need. And because these projects can affect Kansas' water, energy resources, taxpayer dollars, and infrastructure far beyond a single county or city, the state has a responsibility to establish clear rules, require transparent review, and ensure local communities and the state have a meaningful voice before projects move forward.

I'm not opposed to innovation or economic development. I believe Kansas can welcome new industries while being a careful steward of our natural resources and taxpayer dollars. Economic development should strengthen Kansas communities, not ask them to bear unnecessary risks.

• Support a moratorium on data centers until Kansas establishes evidence-based statewide safeguards.

• Oppose taxpayer-funded giveaways to billion-dollar technology companies.

• Ensure state and local governments have the safeguards and independent information needed to evaluate proposals and negotiate from a position of knowledge and leverage.

• Protect and amplify your voice in decisions that will shape Kansas communities for generations.

Innovation should work for Kansas, not harm Kansas. My responsibility is to ensure those decisions are made in the best interests of Kansas families, not to satisfy the timelines or financial interests of outside corporations.

Every Kansan deserves timely access to quality mental healthcare. Too many families are struggling to find affordable care, facing long wait times, provider shortages, or insurance barriers that prevent people from getting help until a crisis occurs. When people can access care early, families are stronger, schools are healthier, and communities are safer.

My Priorities

• Expand Medicaid to improve access to mental health and behavioral healthcare across Kansas.

• Fund community mental health services, including crisis response, crisis stabilization, and community-based treatment.

• Support behavioral health, criminal justice, and community professionals and collaborations.

• Work with Kansas' congressional delegation to restore VA healthcare access and timely services for our veterans.

Mental health is healthcare. I will work to ensure every Kansan has access to the care and support they need while strengthening families, improving quality of life, and building healthier, safer communities.

Kansas taxpayers deserve a government that spends their hard-earned money wisely. Every dollar lost to fraud, waste, or abuse is a dollar that cannot be invested in our schools, healthcare, public safety, infrastructure, or property tax relief. Good government requires both accountability and stewardship: protecting taxpayer dollars from fraud, waste, and abuse while ensuring those resources are available to strengthen the essential services that improve the lives of everyday Kansans.

• Identify and eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse while protecting the essential public services Kansans depend on.

• Support whistleblowers who expose fraud against taxpayers and ensure they are protected when they come forward.

• Strengthen the tools used to recover taxpayer dollars lost to fraud and return those funds to the State of Kansas.

• Promote transparency, accountability, and evidence-based oversight so government programs are regularly evaluated for effectiveness and fiscal responsibility.

Protecting taxpayer dollars is not about cutting services; it is about protecting them. Throughout my career, I have worked to strengthen government accountability by recovering taxpayer dollars lost to fraud and ensuring those resources remain available to serve Kansas families. As your State Representative, I will continue to be a careful steward of public funds, holding government accountable while protecting the essential services our communities need.
